Installation and Configuration
Students will be introduced to network management and visibility using the Extreme Networks management tool, ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine. Using the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Network Management Model (NMM), students have these concepts reinforced with a hands-on lab experience working with a pre-configured network. Students will perform real world tasks around the areas of installation and basic configuration of ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine.
Management
Students will gain more detailed explanation of centralized network management capabilities within ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine. This includes not only build in tools but also customizations available within ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine. Network visibility of devices, device configuration tools, device firmware and configuration management, and device reporting are discussed. Students have these concepts reinforced with a hands-on lab experience working with a pre-configured network.
Advanced Configuration
Students will gain more advanced knowledge of ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine tools such as templates, workflows, automations, and integration with ExtremeCloud IQ. Overviews of Extreme Analytics, Extreme Policy Manager, and Extreme Control are included. Students have these concepts reinforced with a hands-on lab experience working with a pre-configured network.
Troubleshooting
Students will gain basic troubleshooting understanding and the tools available within ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine to troubleshoot network outages to common end-user issues. Students have these concepts reinforced with a hands-on lab experience working with a pre-configured network.
Certified Professional - Assessment
Day one of this lab assessment is unstructured and will allow time for practice in the lab. The assessment will take place on day two and will be overseen by the assessing ATP. You will be given a number of lab exercises and scenarios to work through alone, before being marked at the end of the assessment.
